| Let's hear it for the Hunger Heroes!
The results are in for our 2012 March Food Drive campaign, and we want to thank everyone who participated in helping us exceed our goal of 120,000 dollars/pounds of food by an incredible 56 percent!
March Food Drive raised 187,353 dollars/pounds of food to support our food shelf! Minnesota FoodShare recognized the Neighborhood House March Food Drive as the 7th largest in the state! This will go a long way to feed hungry families year-round, and we could not have done it without our amazing, supportive community. A huge shout out to every person who cleaned out their pantry, to every party host who increased awareness and support, to all the businesses who collected donations from their patrons, to the churches and temples who got their congregations involved, to the schools who invited students to get in on the action, and to each and every individual donor and corporate sponsor who made donations in any amount from $5 to $5,000!
Thank You!
Of course, the problem of hunger in our community does not end in March. Our food shelf needs the support of Hunger Heroes year-round. Let's keep the momentum going!
