New American Indian and Ethiopian Workshops!

Learn about American Indian, Somali, Latino, Hmong and Ethiopian Cultures!
Cultural Proficiency Workshops

Are you serving more new arrivals in your business or organization?
Do you want to learn more about American Indian culture?
Do new arrivals make up a significant part of your workforce?
Does your organization need to learn how to interact with individuals from these cultures?

For over 110 years Neighborhood House has been helping people, families and organizations develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to thrive in diverse communities. We share what we have learned in our Cultural Proficiency Workshops. Our presenters are deeply immersed in their native and American cultures and share their personal experiences and the experiences of their community.

In each workshop, you will:
Learn the basics of each culture's history, family systems, beliefs and practices
Become more confident in your interactions with other cultures
Learn how to reach out and engage members of other cultures
Learn general attitudes and experiences of each culture toward health care, education, mental health and more
